Tuesday, December 2, 2008: Our Portfolio Work Begins!

Filed under: Uncategorized — assistantprofessorcrowley @ 1:01 am

Today’s Agenda

We are now entering the end of the term. The course is going to change slightly over the next two weeks as we get ready for the portfolio review.

First, my office hours are changing, to be more helpful to you. You should only count on me being available to talk during these times. There are 12 hours here, 4 more than many professors give in a normal week. I will expect you to meet me during these hours.

Office Hours Dec 1- Dec 12

Monday:          9-10, 11-1

Tuesday:          8-930, 2-3

Wednesday:    11-1

Thursday:        8-930, 2-3

Friday:             9-10, 11-1

Generally speaking, it will be MUCH easier to get in contact with me earlier in the week than it will be later to get in contact with me later in the week. For example, if you see me early this week, we can get a lot of work done together. However, if you wait until next week, there is a very strong chance that there will simply be too many of you trying to see me at once for me to help all of you equally.

What is the portfolio review? How does it work? Why is it so important?

Keep in mind that only good work gets though the portfolio review, and that I have given you all the tools you need to create good work, if you are willing and ready to use them.

Quote One:

If you think you can, or you think you can’t – you are probably right.

-Mark Twain.
